Whistler Resort is a world leader in sustainability and our Conference Centre is no exception. From the physical plant to the parsley plant, we’re committed to sustainable practices each and every step of the way. Small but important choices make a difference and we’ve got a solid foundation upon which to build an environmentally responsible meeting from menus to memorable milestones.

Some groups come here to benchmark and some to share eco-innovation with local experts. Others come to grow a green meeting. And some come to seed change. Whatever your commitment to sustainability, Whistler Resort and our Conference Centre can encourage and support with meaningful speakers and programming.

Environmental Commitment

Whistler is committed to reducing our impact on the environment. With initiatives such as the Fitzsimmons Creek Renewable Energy Project, Carbon Neutrality, the Partners for Climate Protection Program and the Whistler Composting Facility.

We strive for sustainable operations in nine standards that relate to areas of environmental impact. These standards include staff management and environmental policy, communications, waste, energy, air quality, water, procurement & community partners.

Whistler Blackcomb is committed to achieve their '2030 Epic Promise' as a way to reduce their impact on the environment:

• Zero net emissions by 2030.
• Zero waste to landfill by 2030.
• Zero operating impact on forests and habitat.
